ABSOLUTELY LIKE NEW. The guitar has obviously been played very little and still looks 100% like new. No dings or scratches etc., not even dust or fingerprints on it. Everything still shines as if it were just new out of the factory box. Furthermore, the instrument has been professionally set up by our guitar technicians, and carefully checked for proper function and playability by our product experts, to ensure its perfect working order.
- A rare GMW model, carefully handcrafted in California, USA. The Polka Dot V model is closely associated with such famous names as Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde, both of whom have played similar guitars. This instrument is a one-of-a-kind item because some of its features are different from the series model, such as cream finish, dot inlays, scalloped fretboard (factory-made, full length scalloping - this option alone is worth more than 300 EUR upcharge). This is a very versatile instrument with a great tone and perfect ergonomics, and a rare collector's item as well!
- Finish: Polka Dot Reverse (black dots on cream background), with chrome hardware.
- Body: Alder.
- Neck: Maple - quartersawn. Neck-thru-body construction. This enables a very good sustain, and a super easy access to the upper frets.
- Scale: 25.5" (Standard).
- Fingerboard: Rosewood, scalloped, with pearl dot inlays - a very classy looking instrument!
- Frets: 21, medium jumbo(6150) - a perfect fretjob, another famous feature on GMW guitars.
- Nut: Bone, 42 mm.
- Headstock: Matching the body finish.
- Tuners: Sperzel USA locking tuners - often requested by professional artists, these tuners are a must-have for the demanding musician. The key to their design is eliminating wraps around the string post, which can cause string slippage and tuning problems. Simply loosen the thumbwheel located on the back, feed the string through the post, lock the thumbwheel tight, cut off the remaining string, tune up and you’re finished – better tuning stability and no more restringing nightmares.
- Bridge: Steel Block Vintage style tremolo.
- Pickups: 1x DiMarzio PAF (DP103) und 1x DiMarzio Super Distortion (DP100) humbuckers - this classic vintage-styled combination has a very warm and clear tone as well as great dynamics and versatility.
- Alternatively, upon request of the purchaser, we can also perform a professional installation of a different pickup combination, e.g. any DiMarzio, EMG or Seymour Duncan etc. (Very fair prices per pickup swap). Furthermore, we offer installation of active boost and EQ circuits like EMG Afterburner, PA-2, SPC, RPC, VMC, EXG etc. Please ask for details if interested.
