The RØDE NT1-A, with a 1" cardioid capsule, is now considered the industry standard: its warm sound, dynamic range and high sound pressure tolerance are found elsewhere only in the most expensive microphones. With a self-noise of only 5dBA, it (like the NT1) is considered one of the "quietest" studio microphones around. It is not only suitable for vocals, but also for guitar and percussion.
