AKG C414XLII
Convincing stereo recordings require not only microphones with outstanding sound characteristics and excellent quality, but above all the highest possible match in the frequency response of the microphone pair with practically identical sensitivities. For this reason, each AKG C414 XLII pair is composed of two perfectly matched individual microphones.
The set is determined using a sophisticated computer algorithm that compares the measurements of thousands of microphones. The two AKG C414 microphones assigned to each other in this way differ from each other by less than 1 dB in terms of both sensitivity and individual frequency response with a cardioid characteristic between 300 Hz and 8 kHz.
These are the prerequisites for breathtaking, three-dimensional recordings. When used for stereo recordings, the result is a good and stable balance without frequency-dependent shifts in the panorama.
