IK Multimedia ToneX Board
With the TONEX BOARD, IK Multimedia is expanding its successful TONEX family with a powerful all-in-one processor for guitar and bass. The new floorboard combines AI-powered TONEX technology with AmpliTube’s extensive effects and routing capabilities, offering a complete professional solution for the stage, studio, and home recording.
At its core is full compatibility with all TONEX AI tone models. Users can choose from over 60,000 tone models on ToneNET and use up to four tone models simultaneously within a single preset—one amp model and one stomp model per signal path. This is complemented by more than 70 high-quality effects from AmpliTube as well as custom-developed signal processors that can be flexibly integrated into extensive effects chains.
The internal routing offers up to twelve freely assignable effect slots, including splitters and mixers. This allows for the creation of complex stereo or parallel setups. Three different operating modes—Preset Mode, Scene Mode, and Stomp Mode—ensure maximum flexibility for live performances and studio use. Thanks to ultra-low latency, the system responds instantly and naturally at all times.
For control, IK Multimedia relies on a high-resolution 5-inch color touchscreen as well as five rotary encoders for quick adjustment of all key parameters. Up to 1,400 presets can be organized into twelve setlists with a total of 60 banks.
The TONEX BOARD also offers exceptional versatility when it comes to connectivity. Stereo inputs, two independent stereo outputs (XLR and jack), a flexibly configurable stereo FX loop, MIDI, two expression pedal jacks, and USB-C enable seamless integration into virtually any setup. In addition, the device functions as a 4-in/2-out USB audio interface with direct monitoring and supports the import of custom impulse responses (IRs) as well as IK’s VIR speaker simulation.
