With the WA76-D and WA76-A, Warm Audio presents faithful reproductions of the fastest and most powerful studio compressors of all time.
Now available in single and dual channel versions, they offer additional features for today's modern studio. Using premium components, including custom-built transformers from CineMag USA, and adding modern features such as parallel compression, active and true bypass, selectable input impedance and sidechain high-pass filtering, the new WA76 series is the ideal choice for modern recording workflows that require vintage sound shaping.
The WA76-A and WA76-A2 are faithful reproductions of the vintage 76 “Blue Stripe” style FET studio compressors, which are known for their extra “gripping” fast attack and analog graininess. Just like the Vintage 76 compressors from revisions A to D, the WA76-A and WA76-A2 use custom-built input and output transformers with a large core from CineMagic.

to produce the legendary vintage sound of the classic original. In addition, high-quality polyfilm capacitors, carbon resistors and a vintage-style preamplifier stage are used. Thanks to these key components, the WA76-A and WA76-A2 deliver authentic behavior in the style of the vintage 76 “Blue Stripe”.
