ABSOLUTELY LIKE NEW. The guitar comes from a private collection and has been barely played. Furthermore, the instrument has been professionally cleaned and set up by our guitar technicians, and carefully checked for proper function and playability by our product experts, to ensure its perfect working order.
- A classic Jackson Junior (JJ) signature model of Scott Ian (Anthrax), built directly by the famous Jackson USA Custom Shop team, here in the ultra rare JJ5 five string version, extremely hard to find! A real collector's item. Absolutely outstanding quality of selected woods, craftsmanship, handling and sound!
- Finish: Natural, with chrome hardware.
- Body: Korina - this is a rather rare, African sort of mahogany, with very similar tone characteristics but much lighter in weight. Most JJs were made of mahogany, and only a few of korina wood.
- Neck: Korina - back of the neck oiled and waxed for maximum playing comfort. Neck-through-body construction - this enables a very good sustain, and a super easy access to the upper frets. The neck feels and plays fantastic!
- Scale: 25.5"- Standard.
- Fingerboard: Ebony, pitch black, of a very high quality. No inlays apart from the "Dice" inlay at the 12th fret.
- Frets: 22 - a perfect fretjob, another famous feature on Jackson USA guitars.
- Nut: 42 mm - Standard.
- Headstock: Jackson JJ - black, with Scott Ian signature.
- Bridge: Non-tremolo, wraparound style 5-string - this construction contributes quite significantly to the good tone and long sustain of this guitar.
- Pickups: 1x Seymour Duncan Custom Scott Ian "El Diablo" humbucker - aggressive and dynamic tone with a lot of punch and power.
- Alternatively, upon request of the purchaser, we can also perform a professional installation of any different pickup, e.g. any DiMarzio, EMG or Seymour Duncan etc. (Very fair prices per pickup swap). Furthermore, we offer installation of active boost and EQ circuits like EMG Afterburner, PA-2, SPC, RPC, VMC, EXG etc. Please ask for details if interested.
- Electronics: 1x volume, 1x kill button.
- This is a very versatile instrument with a great tone and perfect ergonomics. Discreet, but important details like the brushed, blackened aluminium cover on the back, Switchcraft output, real CTS pots etc. prove for the highest quality level and technical perfectness of this very instrument.
- The guitar comes with a high quality orig. Charvel/Jackson USA hardshell case.
