Korg opsix mk II - Altered FM Synthese
Second generation Altered FM synthesis
The opsix mkII uses the same versatile Altered FM synthesis as its predecessor, but offers twice the polyphony with a total of 64 voices, which means that even extensive sound experiments and FM piano sounds held with a damper pedal are no longer an obstacle. Thanks to its six different operator modes (FM, Ring Mod, Filter, Filter FM, Wave Folding, Effect), the most diverse sounds far removed from the classic FM cosmos can be realized, and its compact form factor with 37 keys predestines it as a versatile second instrument for live keyboardists.
The full spectrum of sounds
The opsix mkII is a digital synthesizer like no other. Based on the original opsix, the polyphony has been doubled to an impressive 64 voices! The result is outstanding performance with precise control over all sound-shaping parameters.
The opsix's operator mixer made FM synthesis easily accessible, comprehensible and intuitively controllable for the first time. With its additional synthesis and programming capabilities, it offered a particularly efficient workflow for creating unique sounds.
Furthermore, the opsix mkII is fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix SE and opsix native software as well as the numerous opsix mkII sound libraries from third-party providers.
