Monophonic analog synthesizer
The second musical instrument in the TORAIZ range is the AS-1 - a monophonic analog synthesizer that opens up new creative possibilities for studio and live use.
Its intuitive controls include parameter knobs that can be used to change the sound both subtly and dramatically to create a personalized sound.
Sounds can also be manipulated during performance using the touchpad-style keyboard and slider.
At the heart of the TORAIZ AS-1 is a fully programmable, true analog synthesis engine based on the discrete analog circuitry from the Prophet-6 by Dave Smith Instruments.
It has 2 VCOs (voltage controlled oscillators) with continuously variable triangle, sawtooth or pulse voltage (irregular square wave voltage).
Thanks to 2 VCFs (voltage-controlled filters) and a 4-pole, resonant low-pass filter, the creative possibilities are endless.
The Prophet 6 also features 7 onboard effects and the brand new digital distortion.
