Sontronics Corona – Dynamic Vocal Microphone
Since the release of the Halo guitar amp microphone, manufacturer Sontronics has been repeatedly asked for a vocal variant. With the Corona, the British manufacturer is now presenting a retro-style microphone with technology that is perfectly tailored to vocals and speech.
The Sontronics Corona is a dynamic microphone that was specifically tailored to the transmission of vocals. The supercardioid characteristic offers excellent attenuation of sound incident from the side and corresponding feedback security on stage. Present, powerful and detailed throughout the entire transmission range, the Corona works even without EQ and offers first-class sound for live performances as well as studio recordings.
The original idea was very simple: Sontronics wanted to combine the chic retro design of the Halo with the technology of the Solo vocal microphone, which was also new at the time. The supercardioid capsule of the handheld microphone, optimized for live singing, should cut a particularly good figure in the Halo's unusual outfit on stages and in studios around the world. That's exactly what many people wanted: a vocal microphone in the style of the Halo.
The Corona was developed and manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom. The robust workmanship and the durable flight case in which the microphone is delivered increase the longevity of the Corona and protect it in tough everyday tours.
