Change music in a way that was previously not possible with conventional DJ controllers - this is what the new “Groove Circuit feature” offers, which is available in Rekordbox. For example, at the touch of a button, the drum part of a track can be swapped during playback with a beat or break from a completely different genre, or additional effects can be added.
The professional layout, which was adopted from CDJ + DJM setups, conveys a playing feel that is reminiscent of standard club equipment.
The large jog wheels, with 8 performance pads positioned above them, invite you to scratch and the Beat FX from the DJM-A49 in the mixer area creates a dynamic performance at “club level”.
Joystick-like operation is achieved by the new, intelligent “Smart Rotary Selector”. With left/right movements you can navigate intuitively through the media browser, the tree view and the track list. Quickly navigate through playlists and collections with up/down movements. This means you can find the title you want in no time.
Rediscovering old favorites or getting to know new songs can be done quickly by pressing the “Discover” button.
A variety of effects such as roll, trans, echo out and delay can be applied to drums, bass, vocals or melody using the Stems FX function included in Serato DJ Pro.
Although the DDJ-GRV6 has some advanced features, the minimalist display and ergonomic design make it intuitive to use. The groove circuit is located above the performance pads. In between, a “Step Up” to avoid accidentally touching the jog wheel.
