Audio Technica AT4040 – Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

With the AT4040, Audio-Technica has combined the wishes and needs of artists and sound engineers with its typical precision. The sound of the modern large diaphragm is convincing with its soft, natural character. Suitable for any application, this externally polarised (DC bias) condenser microphone offers exceptional noise isolation, a wide dynamic range and can easily cope with high sound pressure levels. The balanced, transformer-free and therefore low-noise circuit design of the AT4040 ensures excellent transient response and pure, unadulterated sound even at high sound levels. The microphone is completely distortion-free, which is otherwise only common with conventional transformer-coupled outputs.
