SSL 500 UltraViolet EQ – 4-Band Equalizer for API-500 series
The SSL UltraViolet Stereo Equalizer from the 500 series is the perfect addition to the Stereo Bus Compressor. This is because the SSL Master Bus EQ has now found its way into the API 500 racks.
Why this EQ is called “UltraViolet” becomes clear when you take a closer look at the two sections. SSL has borrowed the “Violet” minimum phase EQ from the Fusion and added two official, fully parametric mid bands. Both bands have been equipped with the switchable “FOCUS” mode for precise sound processing. This enables targeted accentuation or elimination of certain frequencies by increasing both the filter quality (Q) and the gain range at the touch of a button.
This makes the SSL 500 UVEQ a highly effective professional master bus tool for demanding engineers.
