Peterson Electro-Musical Products is a US based company specializing in the production of tuners and metronomes.
The historic company was founded in 1948 and initially occupied itself with the construction of organs. Founder Richard Peterson was a tech-savvy ex-soldier who worked on vacuum tubes and radio in World War II. The first tuner was finally brought on the market in 1952, originally intended for their organ pipes. Since that time, Peterson draft many more tuners whose accuracy in the marketplace is second to none. In addition to versions equipped with LCD displays, there are also analog variants, which are mainly used in the studio. The large range of tuners is supplemented today by metronomes.
