Hamer
Hamer Guitars is an American manufacturer of electric guitars and basses, focusing on high-quality instruments with vintage aesthetics. Generally, Hamer is considered to be the first provider of boutique electric guitars with the exclusive target group of professional musicians.
In the early '70s, Jol Dantzig and Paul Hamer ran a small guitar shop specializing in the restoration of vintage guitars. For customers interested in high-quality guitars, the two soon started building guitars and basses in the shop's workshop, one-off or very small series instruments. By 1976, when Hamer Guitars was officially founded by Hamer, Dantzig and their co-workers John Montgomery and James Walker, they already had two years experience in sales of instruments under their own name.
In order to appeal to a larger audience, Hamer decided in 1977 to deviate from the previously almost exclusively custom-made program and to enter the series production with the “Sunburst" model (based on the Les Pauls Junior with two cutaways). The pickups of these guitars were created in collaboration with Larry DiMarzio, the later founder of the same-named pickup manufacturing company. In order to establish the brand in the world market, Hamer brought in 1978 Frank Untermyer as a partner and investor, which soon lead to enough capacity to allow moving to larger premises in a suburb of Chicago.
The company was taken over 10 years later by the Kaman Music Corporation, previously responsible for distributing Hamer products for a year.
At the end of the 80s Hamer's "Power-Strats" were especially popular, serving the hard rock and metal scene of that time. The combination of powerful humbuckers with Floyd Rose bridges and Jumbo frets shaped the style of this music era like no other type of guitar.
Hamer Guitars was acquired by Fender in 2007.

It has only some light surface playwear, such as minimal impressions in the clearcoat of the finish on the body and the headstock, as well as some tiny hairline scratches and pick scratches on the pickguard. There are no technical issues with this guitar at all, it functions 100% fine. The hardcase shows some wear but works perfectly good.
