With the WAVESTATION, KORG introduced a completely new form of synthesis in the early 90s, which was able to create animated synthesizer sounds never heard before. The wavestate takes the original idea of wave sequencing and combines it with numerous modern features, an almost inexhaustible sample selection, countless modulation possibilities, programmable real-time controls, random functions and state-of-the-art effects in studio quality - Wave Sequencing 2.0 is born!

In its compact 37-key standard-size case, the wavestate features a large, graphics-capable display as well as numerous knobs, buttons and switches that allow you to edit previously programmed wave sequences in real time. The possibility to play up to four different wavesequences simultaneously, which in turn can all have their own effects and modulations, opens up unimagined sonic dimensions.

Professional features such as the vector joystick for smooth morphing between four different wave sequences, the Smooth Sound Transition known from the KRONOS, which keeps the sounds played even after switching sounds, and the ability to create your own set lists to call up the sounds you need at the touch of a button, make the wavestate a versatile all-purpose tool for stage and studio.

With its polyphony of 64 stereo voices, 12 different filter models (including MS-20 and Polysix), 14 simultaneously usable effects, a sample pool of several gigabytes, 4 arpeggiators, 3 envelopes (+ vector envelope), 3 LFOs and, depending on the length of the wavesequences used, over 1,000 modulation destinations, the wavestate is already an impressively powerful synthesizer on paper. It becomes even more impressive when you listen to it yourself and dive into the endless deep worlds of sound that Wave Sequencing 2.0 makes possible.
