ALMOST LIKE NEW. The guitar has obviously been very little played and is a perfect collector's condition, with no issues at all except for a minimal impression in the clearcoat of the finish at the lower body edge, hardly even visible. No technical issues whatsoever, the guitar plays and sounds just fantastic. Furthermore, the instrument has been professionally cleaned and set up by our guitar technicians, and carefully checked for proper function and playability by our product experts, to ensure its perfect working order.
- Developed to the exact specifications by Eddie Van Halen, with excellent tone and unbelievably ergonomic handling, this instrument can be considered a natural development of EVH's previous signature model by Music Man, just one step closer to perfection. However, since EVH went away from Peavey, this model is not produced anymore, and the Wolfgangs remaining in good condition have become much sought after collector's items.
- Finish: Tobacco Sunburst, with chrome hardware.
- Body: Basswood.
- Neck: Best maple - back of the neck unpainted, hand oiled and waxed for a smooth satin feel. The neck is a pleasure to grab, feels perfect to your hand and plays just fantastic! Bolt-on neck construction - this enables a fast, precise attack response, while retaining a full, "fat" tone.
- Scale: 25.5" - Standard.
- Fretboard: Best maple, 15“ (381 mm) fretboard radius.
- Frets: 22.
- Headstock: Black.
- Tuners: Closed type, 3+3 design.
- Bridge: Non-tremolo, Tune-o-matic with stoptail.
- Pickups: 2x Custom Peavey Wolfgang EVH humbuckers (bridge and neck) - designed to EVH's specifications. Despite being rather high output models, based on ceramic magnets, they can also sound warm enough if necessary, are very dynamic and absolutely quiet.
- Electronics: 1x volume, 3-way pickup selector switch.
