Caparison Horus HGS EF - Natural Walnut

- A very popular Caparison model, with high class features and an outstanding price-quality relation. The Horus-HGS is unique in its unusual combination of small body shape, 24.75" (628 mm) scale, and 27 frets. Moreover, it was designed to use the downtunings and equipped with heavy-gauge strings (HGS). To achieve the distinctive richness of tone, especially in the mid-low range, the choice of walnut as the body material proved the best.
- Finish: Natural (Oiled Walnut), with black hardware.
- Body: Walnut.
- Neck: Hard maple, oiled. Bolt-on neck construction - this enables a fast, precise attack response, while retaining a full, "fat" tone.
- Scale: 24.75" - like Gibson Les Paul, SG, Explorer etc., i.e. a 2 cm shorter scale than for instance a Stratocaster, resulting in better playability even with thicker string gauges.
- Fretboard: Ebony, with "Clock" inlays and ivory binding - a very noble looking instrument!
- Frets: 27, jumbo.
- Nut: Schaller R2 Locking Nut, 42 mm.
- Headstock: Caparison Devil's Tail, 15° angle, black, with silver "Horus" inlay and ivory binding.
- Tuners: Gotoh SG381-07.
- Bridge: Schaller S-FRT II Floyd Rose tremolo.
- Special Feature: The guitar comes in B tuning (B-F#-D-A-E-B).
- Pickups: 1x Caparison SH-27F (neck), 1x Caparison PHR (bridge).
- Alternatively, upon request of the purchaser, we can also perform a professional installation of a different pickup combination, e.g. any DiMarzio, EMG or Seymour Duncan etc. (Very fair prices per pickup swap). Furthermore, we offer installation of active boost and EQ circuits like EMG Afterburner, PA-2, SPC, RPC, VMC, EXG etc. Please ask for details if interested.
