The SQUIDTM puts you in control of your workflow and creates completely new music. SQUID is the perfect blend of functionality and creative stimulation. The SQUID (SeQUencer Inspirational Device) is a brand new multi-track sequencer from the TORAIZTM series of musical instruments and production equipment. SQUID will become the centerpiece of any studio or live setup to which existing instruments are connected. The sequencer is easy to use and offers innovative features never before seen in this type of equipment.
Once the SQUID is connected to the desired instruments, it is very easy to create unique sequencer patterns and phrases. Thanks to the well thought-out arrangement of the controllers, ideas can be implemented immediately. All sequences are optimized for on-the-fly music production. This means you hardly have to look at the device display and can concentrate fully on making music.
Thanks to the Groove Bend function, found for the first time in a production tool1, you can actually feel a groove. Rhythms are created in real time by moving the spring-loaded fader so that the trigger timing changes. With Running Direction, different phrases can be created by reversing the playback direction of sequencer patterns programmed on the 16 pads. Of course, the playback speed can also be adjusted at any time with Speed Modulation. All these features provide a fresh, non-linear approach to making music. This not only stimulates creativity, but also gives rise to new things and ideas that sound great.
Dynamic 16 track sequencer:
Once a phrase is created and liked, it can be saved with SQUID Manager, along with all projects. SQUID Manager is a dedicated and free software that allows you to quickly import and export sequencer patterns between the SQUID and a PC/Mac.
With the SQUID, any setup with up to 16 instruments can be synchronized via its master pulse. From the DAW to hardware instruments such as the monophonic analog synthesizer TORAIZ AS-1 or the professional sampler TORAIZ SP-16 - everything is perfectly in sync. Of course, modular synths and vintage drum machines and synths can also be easily integrated and synchronized into your own setup.
The SQUID not only fits perfectly into every studio and live setup, it also ensures that music is created from your own ideas. As the third product in the TORAIZ series, it also implements its main objective of creating new sounds with inspiring tools and unique features.
