Waldorf Iridium

uantum's powerful synthesiser engine is now available in compact form. Iridium follows in the footsteps of its big brother and offers all of Quantum's synthesis elements in a rack-compatible format as well. The combination of the powerful engine, the incredible flexibility and the detailed sound shaping possibilities creates almost endless sound design possibilities. However, thanks to the comprehensive layout and easy-to-understand structure, you can design your own sounds in no time. With a solid metal body and the same high build quality as Quantum, Iridium is now ready to conquer the studios and stages of the world.

Another entry in Waldorf's rich history, Iridium is a direct descendant of the PPG Wave and is part of the family. However, Iridium offers much more than its ancestor. For each of the three oscillators, Iridium provides five different synthesis models:

• Wavetable
• Waveform (virtual analogue)
• Particle (sampling and granular sampling)
• Resonator
• Kernel
• Up to 7000 patches can be stored in Iridium. Patches from Quantum can be loaded into Iridium and vice versa.
• Iridium has three digital filters per voice. Two in the Dual Filter section and another in the Digital Former. There are several types to choose from:
• 12 or 24dB and low pass/high pass/band pass with optional saturation or dirtiness.
• Several filter models are available, including those from Waldorf Nave, Largo and PPG 3V.
• The dual filter section can be controlled independently or together in various link modes.
• The Digital Former offers all filter types and models from the Dual Filter plus additional unusual models such as Comb, Drive, Bitcrusher and more.
• All filters maintain a true stereo signal throughout the entire structure of the instrument.
• 16-voice polyphone
